Two quiet places to stay on 106 acres

There are two private, screen-free places to stay at Eureka Pines. Both sit on the working sanctuary alongside the free-roaming herd. Both are booked by enquiry rather than a public calendar, so Soo can be sure the shape of your visit fits the land.

The Stables cabin interior with wood fire, kitchenette and garden doors

The Stables

Three well-appointed rooms off the breezeway, with a cosy living room, wood fire and views over the land. Sleeps up to four. Kitchenette, wood burner, direct paddock access, and morning light through big windows.

Gang Gang Hideaway

Named for the endangered Gang Gang cockatoo that breeds in the forest edge alongside the cabin. A private, nature-immersed retreat with a timber deck. Built with care and quiet in mind. Sleeps up to four.

Why two nights minimum

Guests often arrive still wound up from the drive. The first evening is for the wood fire, unpacking, a slow walk to the fence to say hello to the horses. The second morning is when the land begins to do its work.

One-night stays do not give the body a real chance to arrive. A two-night stay does. An extra night usually helps even more.

Pair a stay with a session or a retreat

Many guests add a Somatic Energy Healing session or a Reiki With The Herd session to their stay, so a night on the land becomes part of our wider equine assisted therapy in the Southern Highlands. Others build a full equine healing retreat around the accommodation: meals, walks, herd time and integration across several days.

Or simply come, sleep, walk, rest, and let the birds be your alarm clock. That is a retreat in itself.

Booking and rates

Stays are booked by enquiry so Soo can confirm dates, inclusions and any sessions you would like added. Nightly rates, bed configurations and any child-friendly options are confirmed with your quote.

Send a short enquiry with your rough dates and Soo will come back with what is available.

How it unfolds

A gentle stay rhythm

  1. 1

    Enquire with your dates

Send Soo your rough dates, how many guests, and whether you would like to pair the stay with a session or retreat.

  2. 2

    Confirm your space

Choose between The Stables and Gang Gang Hideaway. Both take up to four; both have a two-night minimum.

  3. 3

    Arrive at the land

Park at Eureka Pines, meet Soo briefly, and settle in. From here on, you are on your own quiet rhythm.

  4. 4

    Slow, screen-free days

The wood fire, the deck, the horses beyond the fence, the walking tracks — the days do the rest.

Why here

Why stay with us

Two nights minimum, for a reason

The land begins to do its work on the second morning. One-night stays do not give the body the space to arrive.

Screen-free by design

Wi-Fi is limited, phone signal is patchy — an actual chance to unplug rather than a promise of it.

You are here for the herd

Sessions and retreats can be added easily to any stay, or the herd is simply your quiet companion over the paddock fence.

Real Southern Highlands quiet

106 acres bordering State Forest, birdsong at dawn, frost on the paddocks in winter, warm afternoons in summer.

Stay FAQs

Can I book online?

Not directly — all stays are arranged by enquiry so Soo can make sure the shape of your visit suits the land and any sessions or retreats you would like.

What is the minimum stay?

Two nights for both The Stables and Gang Gang Hideaway. This gives the land time to settle around you rather than a rushed overnight.

Are children welcome?

Please ask Soo when you enquire — child policy is confirmed case by case depending on the space you book and any sessions planned.

What is provided in the accommodation?

The Stables has a kitchenette and wood burner; Gang Gang Hideaway has a private timber deck and a nature-immersed setting. Full inclusions are confirmed with your booking.

Can I book accommodation alone, without a session or retreat?

Yes. Many guests come just to rest on the land. Sessions and retreats can be added at any time.
