A retreat shaped by you, not a program

Equine Healing Retreats at Eureka Pines are time, space and gentle support to slow right down. There is no timetable to keep and nothing you have to be doing. The days flow around you: herd time, sessions with Soo, forest walks, meals, rest.

We take individuals or small groups up to four, so what you meet on arrival is a quiet property, a free-roaming herd, and one host who has already been thinking about what you need. A retreat is the most immersive way to experience our equine assisted therapy in the Southern Highlands, unfolding across days rather than a single hour.

Choose your length

Day retreats: a half or full day for a reset or a first taste of what the land and herd offer. Good for people not yet ready to travel and stay.

Two-night weekend or midweek retreats: a deeper unwind. Two nights in private on-site accommodation, with several sessions across the two days and unhurried mornings.

Extended 3-7 night retreats: a fuller reset for grief, burnout or a major transition. Custom packages built with you, with plenty of unstructured time.

What the days often include

Guests often begin with a slow morning: a cup of tea on the deck, birdsong, mist over the paddocks. A somatic or Reiki session with Soo when the day feels right. A quiet forest walk. Simple meals. A journal on the grass. An afternoon simply near the herd.

There is no expectation of doing all of this. Some guests spend a full day resting inside on the couch with the wood fire going. That is the retreat.

Who retreats suit

Retreats were shaped for women in midlife carrying grief, burnout or a life transition. Carers of children, parents or partners who have been running on empty. People between jobs, between relationships, between chapters. Anyone who needs somewhere gentle to arrive.

If you are a small group of two, three or four wanting to travel together for something restorative that is not a spa weekend, retreats work well for that too.

What is included

Typically sessions with the herd, use of the land and, for multi-night stays, private on-site accommodation in The Stables or Gang Gang Hideaway. Meals and any extras are confirmed in your quote when we shape the retreat together.

Because every retreat is tailored, pricing is on enquiry rather than a fixed package price. Send Soo a short note with your rough dates and group size, and we will design a retreat that fits.

How it unfolds

A gentle retreats rhythm

  1. 1

    Enquire

Tell Soo roughly when you would like to come and whether you are travelling alone or with up to three others.

  2. 2

    Tailor the shape

Together we shape the retreat around what your body needs — length, sessions, rest, walks and downtime.

  3. 3

    Arrive and unwind

Settle into on-site accommodation and let the land begin its work before any sessions begin.

  4. 4

    Move through gentle days

Herd time, somatic or Reiki sessions, forest walks, meals and rest — always at your pace, never on a clock.

  5. 5

    Integrate before you leave

A final morning to move slowly, journal, walk or simply be, so you carry the retreat home in your body.

Sleep on the land in The Stables or Gang Gang Hideaway — no drive-in, drive-out, no packing back up.

Retreats FAQs

Is there a fixed schedule?

No — retreats follow a gentle rhythm shaped by you, not a rigid itinerary. Sessions, walks and rest happen when your body is ready for them.

How many sessions are included?

It is tailored to the retreat length and your needs. Soo shapes the number and mix of somatic and Reiki sessions with you on enquiry.

Can I just rest?

Absolutely. Rest and unstructured time on the land are part of the retreat, not an add-on. Some guests use most of their retreat this way.

What is included in the price?

Typically sessions with the herd, land access and, for multi-night stays, private on-site accommodation. Meals and any extras are confirmed in your quote.

Why is it priced on enquiry?

Every retreat is tailored to length, group size, sessions and accommodation, so pricing is quoted to your plan rather than sold as a fixed package.

Can I come with a friend?

Yes. Retreats take individuals or small groups up to four. Many people come with one or two others they trust and want quiet time alongside.
