Reiki with horses, channelled in the living field of the herd
Reiki With The Herd is a 90-minute energy healing session held in the presence of the free-roaming horses at Eureka Pines. You lie, sit or stand as your body prefers. Soo channels Tanran Reiki while the horses come and go around you as they choose.
This is not a treatment-room Reiki session moved outdoors. Being inside the settling field of a calm herd, on private land in the Southern Highlands, changes the quality of the work in a way most guests can only describe once they have felt it. It sits within our wider practice of equine assisted therapy in the Southern Highlands, alongside ground-based somatic work and longer retreats.

Why the herd amplifies energy work
Horses live in a state of active co-regulation. When one horse settles, the others begin to. When a human sits quietly alongside a resting herd, the human nervous system tends to follow.
Reiki channelled inside that shared field of attention often reaches places that a treatment-room session does not, especially for people who arrive braced, exhausted or unable to switch a busy mind off.
What the ninety minutes usually looks like
You arrive at Eureka Pines and take a few minutes to settle. Soo walks with you to the paddock, where a mat, blanket and cushion are already set up. You choose whether you would like to lie down, sit, or begin standing.
For most of the hour and a half, you rest. Soo channels Reiki close by or hands-on if that is welcome to you. The horses may drift in and stand near, or graze quietly at a distance. Either way, they are present.
What people often feel
Some notice a wave of warmth, a soft tingling in the hands, or a wet-eyed release that surprises them. Others simply fall into the deepest sleep they have had in months. Some feel little at the time and much more in the days that follow.
There is no correct experience. Only your own. Soo will hold whatever unfolds.
Soo’s practice and lineage
Soo is a Level II Tanran Reiki practitioner and a registered member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT). This is complementary, non-clinical work that sits alongside your medical or psychological care rather than in place of it.
